“Travel hacks”

Theme: «Travel hacks»

Objectives: Introduce our Independent country, with 30 years of history, to foreign countries by exchange of cultures and increase the interests of young generation to travel abroad.

1. Beginning:

• Good afternoon. My name is Aliya and today I will try to give some hints about Travel packing and hacks.

• We will have short programs and I hope it will be interesting for you

Some hacks for bookings:

There are several applications and websites to book hotels, tickets and sightseeing:

• www.booking.com

• www.tripadvisor.com

• www.skyscanner.com

Some hacks of travel: packing, rules & regulations on board:

• Cigarettes and smoking items;

• Sharp items and knifes (scissors);

• Medicines (unless approved by Airlines);

• Pets;

• Water or liquid more than 200 ml;

• Food and food items;

• Equipments and home decors;

• Glass items.

Customs and traditions of some countries:

• If in the Western countries we use phrase “Ladies first”, but in Eastern and Middle Eastern countries “men first”. Their men have higher position in society.

• If you meet your Western friends it’s normal to share the bills, but in the East men take honor to pay fully.

• Tips. In the USA you must leave tips doesn’t matter if you like service or not. However, in Europe it’s up to you. In the East it’s embarrassing.

• Locations: hotel, park, shop, restaurant, cinema, pharmacy, beach, etc

• Transportation: taxi, car, mini van, aircraft, plane, bus, train, etc

• Directions: go straight, turn right, turn left, etc

• In front of, behind of, next to, in the middle of, between, etc
