Theme: Who knows English more?

Aims of the intellectual marathon:to enrich students’ knowledge of foreign languages ,to educate the feeling of international friendship ,to develop logic, imagination and creativeness

Visual aids : Slide shows ,presentation , cards ,shemesTeacher: Good morning , dear teachers and students .Welcome to our intellectual marathon ‘’ Who knows English more? ‘’ We divide our students of 9-10-11 forms into 2 teams.Each team has 6 students Let’s introduce the judges, who will help us to choose the best of the best .They are …You will give the results at the end of competition. You have given «assessment paper» before you.

I.Introduction.

The first round is Introduction .In this part each group introduce their teams .Teacher : The name of the first team is… 1 team : America (all together)Teacher : Your motto is… 1st team:’’ The more we study,the more we know ‘’.(all together)Teacher :The name of the second team is …2nd team: Australia (all together)Teacher: Your motto is …2ndteam : ‘’If you never try,you will never know ‘’(all together)

II .Choose your questions

The second part is for all the members of the team .You should choose any questions you like .There are 5 categories in the table with the points of 10,20,30,40,50.The easiest question is of 10 points and the most difficult one is 50 points.

III Riddles

The third round of our competition is Riddles for pupils of 9th form .Take any cards you like .And be ready for their answers.
