1.Greeting.

T give them different shapes and ask them to divide into 3groups.

I-circle

II -square

III–triangle

In differentiation part t «Flexible pace learning» method was used to give students a choice in order to make them interested in learning process.

The wish flower” method helps to start the lesson with good wishes to each other.

The aim: To develop Ss speaking skills and create friendly atmosphere

Efficiency: By wishing each other they feel better and feel the support of others.

At the organization moment T tries to award active Ss. «The praise» method is used to evaluate Ss with phrases like:

Good job!

Well done!”

T.- Look at the pictures. What is the topic of our lesson? What topics are we going to discuss at the lesson? So, today at the lesson we are going to revise how to write a for –and-against essay, how to express your own opinion, linking words and phrases and some other aspects.

1)T.:At home you read a theory box with the information how to write a for-and-against essay. Let’s check:

 What kind of essay is a for-and-against essay?

And what parts should it include?

How should we present the paragraphs in the main body?

What should we support our arguments with?

What style can we use to write such type of essay?

 

2) ex.3 p.114

 Answer the questions.

Which paragraph contains the reasons “for” with justifications?

Which paragraph contains the writer’s opinion?

Which paragraph contains the reasons “against” with justifications?

Which paragraph contains a clear presentation of the topic?


Ss evaluate each other and encourage classmate with phrases like:

Well done! Brilliant! Good job! I like it!

1.10. Check the meaning of the words in blue in the sentences. Then read and listen to the text.



Now let’s look at the three endings? what technique does each of them contain?

a – a quotation

b – gives the reader something to consider

c – states a personal opinion

Let’s turn to our home text and say which techniques are used in the beginning and the ending – address the reader directly,  states a personal opinion
