Organizational moments Greetings - Get ready for the lesson, please. Good morning, children! How are you? - I’m fine, thank you too. Activities to consolidate the language of the previous lesson. Aim: to revise vocabulary from the previous lesson. Activity 1. Using internet platform “Plickers!”
Activity 2. Teacher: Step 1. puts a poster of A2 format that is filled with approximate things without monsters. - Everyone, look at the board, here we have a big poster with some pictures. Step 2. shows cards of monsters with things on the other side of the board. - Now, look at this, these are monsters. Step 3. gives instructions and descriptors of the task. - you should match those cards with this poster. For example, Yellow monster has got goggles. Step 4. randomly asks children to come to the board and match the words with pictures by using mini magnets |
Children respond to greetings and sit down in their places.

Lead-in 1. Teacher presents the new topic “Planets 2” - Now, today’s topic is ‘Planets’. Look at the book on page 106, there are 8 planets and the Sun. 2. Play the audio and let children repeat after the audiotape. - We are going to look at the poster and repeat after the recording. Please, raise your voice and repeat. Let’s go! 3. Say to children to write down new words on their copybooks 4. Let the children guess the order of the planets in the solar system. Children will be given 8 planets and asked to order the planets in the Solar System. - I will give you 8 planet cards and you should put it on the white board in the correct order. |
Children should look at the poster on the board (student’s book) and repeat after teacher (recording) by the method of ‘wisdom parrot’
Children should write down new words with translations.
Children will get some cards of planets and they should order those planets in the Solar system.

Activity 1. ‘Brain attack’ method Give students 5 pieces of Mars card and 6 pieces of Earth card so that they do the puzzle and get together into one group. So you will have two teams, Mars and Earth. After creating teams, give each team one worksheet. So they should identify the planets and write their names on the worksheet. |
Children will get a chance to choose pieces of 11 cards. Children do the puzzle in order to make teams.
