Development of trilingualism


Language is not only a means of communication, it is the soul of the people, the keeper of traditions and culture, the main means of communication of people. With the help of people, people communicate with each other, convey their thoughts. Language is closely connected with thinking, consciousness and knowledge of the surrounding reality. This is a historically established system containing forms; with its help, people can turn their thoughts into a kind of public domain and even into the spiritual wealth of society.

Such a means of communication, as a language, has been formed historically, with the development of human society and its needs. The nature of language is sign; it means that every word that is a sign has a clear connection with objects and phenomena of the external world. Historically, for several millennia a certain meaning was fixed, which is understandable only to the group of people who know and apply this language. The nature of language stands out in its dual function: it is both an instrument of thinking and a way of communication for people. The language also keeps the spiritual values ​​of society; it works as a mechanism of social and cultural heredity. It arose in ancient times in the process of joint work of people. Helped people to understand each other, work together , and share their accumulated experience and knowledge. With the help of language, people pass on their knowledge from generation to generation.

On July 11, 1997, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Languages ​​in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was adopted, which states: The duty of every citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan is to master the state language, which is the most important bank for consolidating the people of Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh society pursues a policy of trilingualism, aimed at the development of Kazakh, Russian and English languages ​​by Kazakhstanis. Modern research in the field of linguistics that the progress of the development of multilingualism is inevitable. Globalization and the international cooperation of many countries open the borders to the expansion of the language range in each state.

According to the UNESCO concept of “multilingual education”, it is intended to use at least three languages ​​in education:

• native;
• regional or national;
• international

The linguistic diversity of Kazakhstan has always been a priority. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev notes the importance of education for the development of the republic. In particular, it is necessary to focus on the study of Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

We propose to introduce in the educational institutions of Kazakhstan a trilingual education system:
1. Part of the disciplines will be taught in the state language, part in Russian and part in English.
2. Purposeful study of the Kazakh language.
The goal of language policy in Kazakhstan is the integration of the Republic into the world community and as an economic, economic, and socio-cultural component of the country.
The introduction of a trilingual education should make the Kazakh people competitive on the world stage. This reform is part of the Kazakhstan-2030 program.

So why do we need a trilingual input in Kazakhstan?
English is the language of international politics, commerce, tourism and the Internet.This is a means of global communication. About a billion people on the planet today speak English! The main language of education in many countries, in addition to the state, is English. Therefore, the study of English from school years gives in life indisputable advantages.

The advantages of trilingualism:

1. If you are fluent in English, Russian and native languages, then the person will be competitive in the global labor market.
2. Preservation and strengthening of the centuries-old cultural tradition of the people.
3. Development of memory, linguistic abilities, development of eloquence.

Our college is also mastering innovations in the use of trilingualism. We have dictionaries for school and special subjects in three languages. We also practice trilingualism in class. Our teachers conduct lessons, various events, and competitions on the topic of languages.

We believe that Kazakhstan has gone in the right direction.We think that this innovation will help ourselves develop even more.
